Despite what some people can think, our works are completly handmade. The wood we are using comes from different forests around Bagamoyo. As we love our forests here in Tanzania, we are very careful to protect them. Our traditionnal job does not necessarily incudes their destruction. We pay attention to those big issues and try to continue our job without deforest our precious land.
The Mpingo wood, also known as ebony wood, grows in the savannah grasslands of east-central Africa, although it is more common in the coastal lowlands like Bagamoyo.
